Trailer Spotlight: Ant-Man
The highly anticipated new entry into the Marvel Universe made its debut. “Ant-Man” chronicles the story of the two men who don costume: Henry Pym (Michael Douglas) and his protege, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd).
We couldn’t help but notice that the tone of the Ant-Man trailer was quite the opposite compared to Marvel’s huge blockbuster of 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy. Guardian’s of the Galaxy’s teaser trailer featured the famous track “Hooked on the Feeling” by Blue Suede. Coupled with the hilarious opening, that song expressed a fun, tongue-in-cheek, less-serious tone.
But back to Ant-Man. We’ve got two different versions of the trailer for you. The original, and Patrick (H) Willems re-edited version. Take a look at both and see what a huge difference music can make to the tone. Which do you prefer?
